At Legally Pink Law, PLLC, we’re your Orlando product liability attorneys for information regarding drug safety and recall notices. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently weighing whether the non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) including Celebrex and Naproxen should come with warnings for increased risk of cardiac events. The FDA is postponing decisions until a study is complete.
The study of 95,000 patients is currently underway and will be complete in late 2015. The 7-year study will answer long-standing questions about the safety of NSAIDs and potential risk for cardiac events. In 2005, the FDA determined that NSAIDs should list warnings of cardiac event risk, but the FDA didn’t have enough evidence to enforce the policy.
If you believe you or a loved one have suffered a cardiac event as the result of medical negligence or product defect, call us at Legally Pink Law today for representation. We’ll work to ensure that your medical malpractice or negligence case is handled with rigor in order to help you earn the highest compensation for medical expenses, pain, and suffering.
